Associate Attorney - Construction Litigationn
Our client, a highly respected full-service law firm with over 150 years of service, is actively seeking multiple Construction Litigation Associates to join its Manhattan office as part of its expanding construction litigation group. The firm offers a hybrid remote work rotation, fostering flexibility while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
About the Role:
They are hiring both junior and senior associates with experience in construction litigation, New York Labor Law defense, and/or construction defect/property damage litigation. The ideal candidate will have deposition and courtroom experience and be eager to work on high-stakes, complex matters. Experience in insurance coverage and risk management will also be strongly considered.
Key Responsibilities:
· Represent clients in construction-related litigation, including NYS Labor Law claims, construction defect, and property damage disputes
· Conduct and defend depositions
· Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery
· Appear in court for conferences, arguments, and hearings
· Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal team members to develop litigation strategy
· Manage cases from inception through resolution or trial
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
· Admitted to practice in New York (New Jersey admission is a plus)
·2–8+ years of relevant litigation experience, depending on level
· Prior experience in construction litigation or insurance defense preferred
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Demonstrated ability to handle depositions and appear in court
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
· A proactive and self-motivated work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Compensation & Benefits:
· Salary range: $105,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
