Job Title: Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Care

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour Shifts

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a fast-paced Ambulatory Care clinic with a focus on urology services. The RN will provide direct patient care, assist with ambulatory procedures, perform nursing assessments, and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience, ambulatory clinic exposure, and excellent communication and patient care skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care within an ambulatory clinic setting
• Perform patient assessments, monitor patient conditions, and support clinic workflow
• Assist providers with ambulatory procedures including:
  • Cystoscopy procedures
  • Bladder instillations
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Document patient care accurately within the EPIC electronic medical record system
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain infection control, patient safety, and confidentiality standards
• Perform nursing care skills independently with minimal orientation and supervision

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care nursing experience within the past 2 years required
• Ambulatory clinic experience preferred
• Urology clinic experience preferred
• Experience performing cystoscopy and bladder instillation procedures preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Travelers should have experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required
• Must successfully complete required pre-employment health screening, drug testing, and background check
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS Certification required
