Job Summary: The Server is responsible for delivering an elevated, hospitality-driven dining experience. This role requires deep menu knowledge, strong sales instincts, and polished service execution in a high-volume, high-touch Latin steakhouse environment. Servers act as ambassadors of the brand, guiding guests through premium cuts, Latin-inspired flavors, cocktails, and wines while creating memorable, personalized experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and promptly, establishing rapport and setting the tone for the dining experience

  • Deliver polished, attentive, and anticipatory service throughout the meal

  • Guide guests confidently through the menu, highlighting steak cuts, preparation styles, sauces, sides, and Latin-inspired specialties

  • Read the table and adapt service style to guest expectations (business dining, celebrations, regulars, tourists)

  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues gracefully and professionally

  • Maintain expert knowledge of:

    • Steak cuts, temperatures, sourcing, and preparation methods

    • Latin culinary influences, ingredients, and regional flavors

    • Wine, spirits, cocktails (especially rum, tequila, mezcal), and pairings

  • Make thoughtful recommendations and upsell responsibly to enhance the guest experience

  • Accurately describe daily specials, limited offerings, and premium items

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system

  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar to ensure proper pacing and accuracy

  • Deliver food and beverages with correct presentation and timing

  • Perform table maintenance throughout service (clearing, resetting, crumb sweeping as applicable)

  • Present checks promptly and process payments accurately

  • Work collaboratively with hosts, bartenders, food runners, and management

  • Support teammates during peak service periods

  • Follow all service standards, steps of service, and company policies

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations

  • Follow responsible alcohol service laws and company policies

  • Complete side work and opening/closing duties as assigned

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service stations

Must-Haves
  • Minimum 2 years of serving experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant; steakhouse experience strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with steak cuts, wine service, and premium dining environments

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused under pressure

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
