1 Full-Time dayshift; every other weekend required (varying between 7:15am - 5:15pm)
1 Full-Time overnight shift; every other weekend required (11:00pm - 7:00am)

We are seeking dedicated Community Care Advocates to join our team and provide non-medical support and companionship to our Sisters and residents. What You’ll DoAs a Community Care Advocate, you will help create a warm, respectful, and supportive home environment while enhancing quality of life for those in your care.
Provide compassionate, non-medical personal support and companionship
Monitor residents through routine rounding and respond to call needs
Observe and report changes in condition or behavior
Support emotional well-being during times of transition, illness, or end-of-life
Assist with engagement activities and religious programming
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal support
Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication
Provide transportation to appointments and outings
Serve as a responsible on-site team member, including during urgent situations
Required:
Minimum 2 years of experience in gerontology, long-term care, or related field
Strong communication skills and ability to connect with diverse populations, including individuals with dementia
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Sound judgment and adaptability in changing or urgent situations
Professionalism, emotional resilience, and respect for confidentiality
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Valid, clean driver’s license
Preferred:
Leadership or mentoring experience
Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or faith-based environments
Appreciation for or willingness to learn about the mission and traditions of the Sisters of Mercy
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
