VP, AdTech and Data Quality
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated VP of AdTech and Data Quality to lead our critical functions in web analytics, ad operations, and data integrity. This role requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, a strong background in pharmaceutical marketing, and proven expertise in managing and optimizing data quality.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing three key areas: Web Analytics and Insights, Ad Trafficking and Ad Tech, and Web Analytics Tagging and Coding. This is a unique opportunity to shape our data strategy and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of our digital media investments.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Execution:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for our AdTech and Data Quality initiatives, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Provide hands-on leadership and technical expertise across web analytics, ad operations, and tagging.
- Drive continuous improvement in data collection, processing, and reporting to ensure high-quality insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal and client teams to optimize data flow and system integrations.
- Web Analytics & Insights:
- Champion the deep exploration of web analytics data, going far beyond surface-level reporting.
- Master the art of "flipping and turning" the data, dissecting it from multiple angles to uncover hidden trends, subtle user behavior patterns, and previously unseen opportunities.
- Lead the charge in transforming raw data into a compelling narrative, guiding the development of intuitive dashboards and dynamic reports that deliver clear, concise, and timely performance metrics.
- Translate complex data discoveries into actionable, strategic recommendations that directly inform and optimize our media investments and enhance our digital platforms.
- Utilize your ability to extract profound insights to drive measurable business growth and improve the overall user experience.
- Ad Trafficking & Ad Tech:
- Manage and optimize all aspects of ad trafficking, ensuring accurate campaign setup, delivery, and performance monitoring.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage various AdTech platforms and tools to enhance efficiency and capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for ad serving and data privacy.
- Web Analytics Tagging & Coding:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of web analytics tagging strategies (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Oversee the quality assurance of all tagging implementations to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with development teams on coding requirements for effective data capture.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in AdTech, digital media, and data analytics roles.
- Must have strong "sleeves-rolled-up" knowledge and a proven track record of hands-on execution.
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a must, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and marketing practices.
- Strong media experience across various digital channels (e.g., programmatic, search, social).
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong database knowledge, particularly with platforms like Snowflake.
- Proficiency with SFTP for secure file transfers.
- Expertise with Google's CM360 (Campaign Manager 360) and other ad serving platforms.
- Solid understanding of web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and tagging methodologies.
- Core Competencies:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and developing talent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $180,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
