This is a travel temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Charge role covering acute care in an Emergency Department environment. The position requires active licensure in New York and current professional certifications. The assignment begins June 22, 2026 and runs for 14 weeks.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, with charge responsibilities to coordinate patient flow, triage, and prioritization of care.
- Conduct primary and ongoing assessments across age groups; document changes and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Administer medications and therapies, perform invasive and non-invasive procedures within scope, and monitor patient responses.
- Lead and mentor the care team, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure adherence to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
- Educate patients and families, prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, and facilitate discharge planning and post-emergency care instructions.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team; maintain up-to-date patient status boards and provide timely updates.

Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI) required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of acute hospital experience
- Ability to work in a high-volume ED environment with rotating shifts
