AERO Field Representative - Northeast

About The Role The AERO Field Representative is a Marketing Specialist who builds strong relationships with retail partners, consumers, and the running community. Working closely with Sports Marketing, Product, and Sales teams, this role brings the Skechers brand to life through retail presence, events, and regional activations. The AERO Field Rep partners with key retailers to plan and execute events and promotions, aiming to increase brand awareness, drive trial, and improve product sell-through. As running experts, they deliver engaging brand and product training to retail associates and focus on driving trial of Skechers RUN Footwear through grassroots events. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and possesses strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position serves as a key partner of the Skechers brand in the market, representing the company's commitment to the running sector. What You'll Do- Schedule and plan weekly activities, including store visits, events, and office time.
- Organize and execute consumer events with key retailers, aligning with brand initiatives and product launches.
- Train retail staff on Skechers Performance brand and products, focusing on Running.
- Develop strong relationships with retail store leadership and staff.
- Encourage retail staff participation in sales promotions, contests, and events.
- Implement a monthly product seeding plan for key staff and retail partners.
- Cultivate relationships with territory ambassadors and involve them in events.
- Submit weekly field reports on store visits, clinics, events, and provide product feedback.
- Participate in sales conferences, trade shows, and special events as directed.
- Manage and track monthly travel and marketing budgets.
- Monitor global market trends and competitor activities.
- Submit expense reports through Concur, including receipts and required details.
- Adapt to changing job functions and responsibilities as directed by management.
- Conduct thorough product training for retail staff and accounts to improve sales.
- Represent Skechers as a brand ambassador at various athletic events.
- Experienced self-starter with strong negotiation skills and entrepreneurial characteristics.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong time management abilities.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry samples, sample bags, and marketing materials.
- Travel required (approximately 80%).
- You must be willing to live within an agreed upon radius of the territory you support.
- Highly motivated with a hardworking attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Works well independently, as well as within a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand the sport of running and empathize with runners to develop authentic relationships at retail and the running community at large.
- Ability to strategically use an annual budget that benefits the territory and brand.
- BA or BS degree in Business or equivalent combination of experience.
- 1+ years Marketing/Sales/Retail experience required, 2+ years preferred.
- Running, Sports or Athletic industry experience highly preferred.
- College athlete preferred and passion for running and or work experience within the running community.
- Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, product merchandising and retail selling skills.
The pay range for this position is $65,000-$75,000/yr USD.
