About this role
Our HVAC Global Operations Aftermarket team in Syracuse is looking for a Materials Planner - Aftermarket who will be responsible for the aftermarket planning for Residential HVAC units (parts/repairs of compressors).
The Materials Planner - Aftermarket is based out of Syracuse NY and must be able to work onsite 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing: Purchase Orders (PO) placement process; ensure the timely conversion of purchase requisitions to PO's
- Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to confirm timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues; manage supplier(s) relationships relating to past due expedites and priority PO's
- Material Planning: Develop and implement material planning strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials based on customer(s) demand
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory
- Data Analysis: Analyze material usage trends, run excess inventory reports and push out reports, line of balance reports, analyze backlog review and align with the Purchase orders opened with the suppliers to prioritize the right parts.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material planning and purchasing efficiency
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels, purchasing activities, and supply chain performance
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities
Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 3+ years of experience in material planning and purchasing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or business administration
- Master's degree in supply chain management
- Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
- Experience in material planning and purchasing in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Experience with international/national planning and procurement
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Pay Range:
