Counter Sales Associate

Our client in Red Hook is seeking a Counter Sales Associate with sales, administrative and customer service practice who also has expertise of HVAC/plumbing and accessories. You will act as the primary interface with retail and wholesale customers as well as sales department employees to sell the required parts or accessories.



Counter Sales Associate Requirements:

»Must have HVAC/plumbing industry practice

»Must have strong clerical expertise – Microsoft Word and Outlook required

»Strong customer focus – we are a small but prosperous business and our reputation and building relationships is very important



Counter Sales Associate Job tasks:

»Connect with customers in person, online and over the phone to find out what they want and need from their next purchase

»Ensure a seamless transition from online to in-store purchasing to provide an unrivaled customer practice

»Order any out of stock, special order items, create purchase orders, transfers, and follow up with customers by phone calls to complete of invoice.

»Coordinate orders from the warehouse to ensure customers' orders are ready in a timely fashion to achieve an excellent level of customer service

»Maintain orderly files and clean records of all transactions, as well as an accurate cash drawer.

»Other clerical/admin tasks as needed


This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Hours are typically 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, but some flexibility is required on an as needed basis. Pay rate is $24-$28 per hour, depending on practice and expertise of the industry.
