Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology at Montefiore-Einstein is dedicated to advancing the fields of medicine and surgery. As a partner across the health system, particularly in perioperative and periprocedural care, we are in a unique position to align efforts and make our system more effective. We are a hub for integrated care. We collaborate with surgery and medicine to ensure equitable care is provided consistently & effectively. We ensure data-based decisions are made every day in the OR, the ICU, the Pain clinic, and the procedural suites of medicine. Most importantly, we serve a large and diverse patient population and aim to ensure that our patients receive the treatment that best serves their individual needs.

Responsibilities

• We are seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologists to join our collegial team of over 43 General Anesthesiologists in order to meet the expanding needs of the communities we serve.
• Our breadth of practice includes, but is not limited to gynecology, plastics, otorhinolaryngology, bariatrics, vascular, orthopedics, genitourinary, thoracic, ambulatory, and a variety of NORA cases.
• Covering the 4 main campuses (Moses/Weiler/Wakefield/Hutch), our anesthesiologists have numerous opportunities to teach our medical students, residents and fellows.
• Our care model also includes CRNA supervision of up to 4, but usually 3 cases at a time and solo practice.
• Research opportunities are also available.

Requirements

In addition to a competitive base salary of $320,000-465,000, we offer the opportunity to supplement income through short and overnight call, in addition to generous weekend call compensation and productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
