Job Summary

National Pipe & Plastics, one of the largest PVC pipe producers in North America, is currently seeking a Utility Worker. The Utility Associate oversees assigned lines, minimizes rejects by checking pipe during and after the finishing process, and runs any necessary equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Keeps area clean at all times
• Inspects pipe left on carts by the previous shift
• Assist Machine Tender during string up process
• Rework pipe
• Preband bundles and put in center bands
• Recycle steel-banding scraps
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, and colleagues
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $18.50/hr
