Credit Risk (Risk Management) : Job Level - Associate
Firm Risk Management (FRM) supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, model, and other risks. Background on the Position
The role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's Credit Risk Management department. Our mission is to serve as an independent agent to set consistent principles and disciplines for risk management, act as strategic advisor to Firm management for setting risk appetite and allocating capital and be an industry leader to influence and meet regulatory standards.
We are seeking a Scrum Master in the Credit Risk Agile Fleet (Agile is a technology development methodology) based in New York. The successful candidate will be part of a team that delivers technology initiatives. The role encompasses extensive interaction with global members of Credit Risk along with the Product Owners, members of technology and other Scrum Masters across Institutional Securities Group (ISG) and Wealth Management. Primary Responsibilities:
- As a Scrum Master, drive predictable delivery outcomes by facilitating Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews) in close collaboration with the Product Owner and development team.
- Act as a change agent to enable delivery by removing impediments, managing dependencies, and driving timely follow ups across the development team and key partners.
- Maintain a clear, prioritized, and estimated backlog in partnership with the Product Owner and team, ensuring shared understanding of business requirements.
- Use delivery metrics to assess and monitor team performance, identify risks and improvement opportunities enhancing transparency and predictability.
- Work closely across teams (squads) and with Fleet Leads to align goals to ensure priorities align with scope of the fleet inclusive of status reporting. Experience:
- 3-5 years relevant experience working on Technology projects related to Financial Services domain as a Scrum Master or similar role.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self- motivated, ability to adapt and learn quickly are key to success in the role.
- Strong delivery management experience with a hands-on approach, including a track record of enabling team execution.
- Experience working within Agile lifecycles, using tools such as JIRA and Rally
- Bachelor's degree required. Agile certification and/or PMP a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $140,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
