Shift : Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 4:30PM

Salary : $35.91/hr

Qualifications:

· Master’s in Psychology

· Experience in DD population and Behavior Modification Plans/Strategies

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Identify, develop and coordinate sites within community for participants consistent with their needs, desires and valued outcomes.

· Conduct psychological assessments, screenings and evaluations.

· Create, train and assist with implementation of Behavior Modification Plans and/or Strategies and revise as needed.

· Monitor Behavior Modification Plans and/or Strategies and revise as needed.

· Conduct individual and/or group therapy sessions.

· Provide crisis intervention as needed.

· Attend interdisciplinary team meetings, annual and semi-annual meetings and other meetings as required to ensure quality services for consumers.

· Provide in-service training as needed.

· Submit paperwork in a complete and timely fashion.

· Observe consumers in program room regularly.

· Attend and participate in staff meetings, agency committees, trainings and seminars.

The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County is a nonprofit, multi-faceted health agency serving over 1,500 children and adults with cerebral palsy, developmental and other disabilities.

Day Habilitation is a year-round program serving individuals ages 21 and older who are developmentally disabled. Day Hab is a community outreach program where trained and qualified individuals with developmental disabilities provide local non- profit businesses with community service. It is a comprehensive program which focuses on community integration and volunteerism.

This position ensures individuals with disabilities are fully integrated into the community through volunteering and/or participating in community activities.
