Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a Founding Chef / Chef de Cuisine to help develop and ultimately lead the culinary program for a new, independently owned restaurant concept in downtown Manhattan.
This is an opportunity to join the project at an early stage and play a meaningful role in translating the concept into a distinctive, executable menu. The ideal candidate is excited by seasonal, produce-driven cooking; has strong technique and a refined but restrained point of view ; and understands how to create food that is both memorable and approachable.
The role will initially involve collaborative menu development, recipe testing, sourcing and pre-opening events/pop-ups, with the intention of transitioning into leadership of the kitchen for opening.
We are looking for someone who combines creativity with operational discipline and is excited by the opportunity to help shape a restaurant from the ground up and to support local producers and purveyors.
Experience in high-quality, ingredient-driven restaurants and prior kitchen leadership experience are strongly preferred.Recommended Jobs
