Residential construction crew member
Job description:
At Roots Decks & Remodels, we’re not just remodeling homes; we’re building a team that values quality, trust, and craftsmanship. We’re looking for a Residential Construction Crew Member with a strong background in home repair, remodeling and/or decking who is ready to step into a hands on, team oriented and customer focused position.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with construction, repair, decking and remodeling projects under the direction of the project manager and crew lead.
- Perform hands-on tasks: framing, drywall, trim carpentry, painting etc.
- Follow plans, measurements, and checklists; help with layout, material staging, cutting, and fastening.
- Set posts/joists, install decking and railings, and complete punch items to company quality standards.
- Keep the jobsite safe, clean, and organized; use PPE and follow safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate clearly with the lead and teammates; flag issues early and respect customers’ property.
Who You Are:
- Multi-trade craftsperson with 3+ years of residential experience (framing, trim/drywall, deck builds).
- Self-managed and dependable - on time, follows direction, asks questions, owns quality.
- Safety- and detail-focused - reads a tape, uses common power tools, keeps a clean site.
- Team-first communicator - takes feedback well and supports the crew to hit schedule.
- Growth-minded - open to training and cross-trade work.
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $23 - $27 per hour, based on experience and leadership ability
- Hours: 45 - 50 per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, in-person
