Landscape Technician

Skyview Landscape is a highly successful landscape design, installation, and maintenance company serving the Albany market for 20 years. We specialize in the highest quality residential and commercial landscaping and grounds management services. Due to our rapid growth, we are looking for dedicated team members who want to expand their experience and grow their careers with our exceptional team and have immediate openings for Maintenance and Enhancement Technicians to help with the successful completion of ongoing landscape maintenance and landscape enhancement services.

Available Role: Landscape Maintenance and Enhancement Technician

This job is great for an entry-level position in the green industry. You would be working with either our maintenance or enhancement teams, learning the trade, and executing job orders each day.

Responsibilities:

• String trim and edge around sidewalks, flower beds, and walls
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and grass
• Trim/prune trees and shrubs
• Clean lawn debris with rakes, shovels, and blowers
• Install new landscaping materials
• Keep trucks and equipment clean and in working order
• ​​​​​​​Contribute to our safety culture by wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• ​​​​​​​Interact with homeowners, property guests, clients, and the public in a friendly and polite manner

Requirements:

• Able to operate standard landscaping machinery such as riding mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance record
• Availability to work variable hours which may include weekends, holidays and overtime
• Ability to perform physical work in various weather conditions
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• 17 years of age or older
• Reliable transportation to the shop or first job site
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds & walk long distances
