Multi-Unit Coverage Sandwich Artist

Summary

The Multi-Unit Coverage Sandwich Artist is a senior hourly customer-facing role within our restaurant operations . This position performs all standard food preparation duties while also providing regional operational support by covering short notice staffing needs across multiple locations.

This role carries a higher rate of pay in recognition of the additional responsibilities, flexibility, and availability required to support up to 12 stores within the Binghamton and surrounding locations . This is a non exempt, at will position.

Essential Job Functions

• Greets all guests in a positive and helpful manner.

• Prepares orders based on customer preferences.

• Prepares food according to the company formula and in a timely manner.

• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them to guests accurately.

• Uses Point of Sale system/cash register (cashier) to record the order and compute the amount of the bill.

• Collects payment from guests and makes change.

• Checks products in sandwich unit area and restocks items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.

• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during food preparation, service, and clean up.

• Adhere to all company policies related to safety, sanitation, and workplace conduct

Coverage Responsibilities

• Provide short notice coverage for employee call outs or staffing shortages across the Binghamton and surrounding locations (up to 12 stores)

• Travel to different store locations within the region as directed, based on operational need

• Maintain availability and responsiveness consistent with schedule expectations and business requirements

• Collaborate with store supervisors and regional leadership to ensure continuity of operations

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• Willingness to learn and adhere to Subway’s policies and procedures.

Additional Qualifications

• Prior food service experience required

• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and strong work ethic

• Ability to adapt quickly to different store environments and teams

• R eliable personal transportation (where travel is required) .

Schedule & Pay

• Hourly, non exempt position

• Higher rate of pay reflects expanded regional coverage responsibilities and flexibility

• Hours and schedules vary based on business needs; availability does not guarantee specific hours

• Overtime paid in accordance with applicable state and federal law

Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized point of sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
