Job Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Patchogue, NY 11772

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 3x12 Hours (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $60 - $63 per hour

Position Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Registered Nurse – Operating Room for an exciting job in Patchogue, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care for patients across all age groups (pediatric to geriatric).

• Assist with and circulate in surgical procedures, including vascular, orthopedic, and robotic cases.

• Maintain aseptic techniques and ensure adherence to infection control policies.

• Coordinate with surgical teams, CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Document care accurately using EPIC electronic health records.

• Support surgeons and scrub technicians during complex procedures, ensuring readiness of equipment and supplies.

• Adhere to hospital safety, medication, and operational protocols (Omnicell medication system).

• Participate in trauma, general, and specialty surgeries as required.

• Contribute to a collaborative, efficient OR team environment and maintain readiness for emergencies.

Requirements:

• License: Active RN license (NY)

• Certifications: BLS (Required)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room experience in an acute care hospital

• System Experience: EPIC (Required), Omnicell (Preferred)

• Hospital Type: Community Hospital (Required); Trauma Level II (Required); Trauma Level I and Teaching Hospital experience (Preferred)

• Charge RN Experience: Preferred

• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted unless 5+ years of OR experience
