About the Role

We are hiring a Cleaner to support our moving, packing, and commercial operations.

This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that involves post-move cleaning, office cleaning, and project-based packing/organizing work with cleaning , often coordinated with our moving crews.

You will represent Box and Roll Moving professionally on job sites and work directly with clients and team members to ensure spaces are cleaned thoroughly, safely, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform move-out and post-move cleaning of apartments, homes, and offices
• Clean empty or partially furnished spaces to turnover-ready standards
• Clean commercial and office spaces as part of scheduled or project-based work
• Assist with light organizing or packing tasks when part of a combined service
• Follow company cleaning checklists, procedures, and quality standards
• Communicate clearly with the office and crew regarding job progress and timing
• Safely handle cleaning supplies and equipment
• Maintain a professional and respectful presence on client job sites
• Use company systems for scheduling, job details, and communication

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• Ability to perform physical work, including bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning checklists
• Reliable access to a working cell phone and email
• Willingness and ability to use company systems and tools for scheduling and communication
• Active bank account required for payroll (direct deposit)
• Professional attitude: punctual, reliable, respectful, and team-oriented
• Willingness to undergo a background check as part of the hiring process

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Prior experience with cleaning
• Experience working in occupied or recently vacated spaces
• Ability to work occasional weekends or short-notice jobs during peak season
• Interest in cross-training with packing or organizing services

Compensation & Growth

• $18/hour starting salary for everyone, entry-level cleaner salary
• $19–$21/hour for candidates with experience
• Additional hours available during peak moving season
