A full-service national firm is seeking an Associate with experience in Federal income tax related to mergers and acquisitions. This is a mid-level role with significant client-facing responsibilities and leadership opportunities.Â
You will engage in complex, impactful deals with a national footprint and work alongside seasoned partners and cross-practice teams.  Youâll be part of a dynamic, mission-driven team that values creativity, collaboration, and long-term client partnerships. The firm offers a collegial environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a clear path to partnership. Â
Role and ResponsibilitiesÂ
As an Associate in the Tax group, you will:  Â
Structure federal tax aspects of M&A, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, reorganizations, and divestitures Â
Collaborate with private equity, corporate, real estate, and IP teams to integrate transaction targets into client tax frameworks Â
Draft comprehensive tax analyses, memos, and deal documentation Â
Counsel on tax-free reorganizations and partnership equity structures Â
Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to internal tax strategy initiatives Â
Qualifications Â
JD with LL.M. or equivalent tax credentials Â
3-5 years of experience in U.S. federal tax, specializing in M&A, private equity, and cross-border transactions Â
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skillsÂ
Track record of working effectively among corporate, international tax, IP, and real estate lawyers Â
