Creative/Design Director

We build gear for human movement, seamless transitions, and everyday utility, completely redefining what active gear can be. As the Creative/Design Director, you will be the architectural force behind this disruption. You will translate our inclusive, forward-thinking mission into concrete product strategies. Your designs for bags and wearable accessories will challenge the status quo, merging raw technical performance with universal, democratic design. Key Responsibilities
- Disruptive Product Vision: Lead end-to-end design for bags, packs, and wearable gear that reject traditional category silos.
- Universal Innovation: Pioneer multi-functional, ergonomic solutions that adapt seamlessly across diverse human experiences, environments, and lifestyles.
- Brand Identity & Creative Direction: Establish an inclusive, high-utility aesthetic language across all products, packaging, and digital touchpoints.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of industrial and accessory designers to think outside industry norms.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Sourcing, Product Development, and Marketing to scale our mission and deliver commercially viable, revolutionary products.
- Experience: 10+ years of design and creative leadership experience, specifically with technical bags, backpacks, or soft accessories.
- Philosophical Alignment: A portfolio that demonstrates a desire to challenge convention, break category rules, and design inclusively.
- Technical Acumen: Mastery of soft-goods construction, hardware sourcing, advanced materials, and ergonomic testing.
- Studio Presence: Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely in our Tribeca, NYC studio.
- Competitive Base Salary: $160,000 – $220,000 annually.
