Shifts: Weekend Blocked, Day/Night rotational position
Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated SMH Level 1 RN in the field of Psychiatric Emergency Room (Psych ER) to provide top-notch care and support within a rotational weekend block shift in New York. Key Responsibilities of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych ER
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients
- Diagnose the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options
- Consult with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff in designing treatment plans
- Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
- Arrange further medical attention when necessary
- Assist clients in understanding emotional disturbances and accepting treatment
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
- Test for vital signs of pain and ensure pain treatments
- Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician orders
- Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate patient records
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes
- Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and the public
Requirements of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych ER
- NY License ONLY
- BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
- Telemetry experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience
