Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Experience in production or labor, particularly in manufacturing, is highly valued. You will be responsible for operating assembly and grinding equipment and ensuring product specifications are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly and grinding equipment for magnetic materials.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Read and understand basic manufacturing instructions, similar to blueprints.
• Follow all safety, quality, and departmental procedures.
• Assist in installing grinding wheels or spindles as needed.
• Pack and mark finished goods when required.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use small hand tools.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Basic math skills.

• Experience in manufacturing is preferred, though not required.

Work Environment

You will work alongside 25+ employees on the 1st shift and 15+ on the 2nd shift, reporting to the lead or supervisor. The dress code is industrial clothing such as jeans and t-shirts, with steel-toe footwear required. The 1st shift operates from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saugerties, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
