Building Automation Engineer
Building Automation System (BAS) Engineer
New York City, NY (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Salary: $110,000 – $140,000 base salary
Our client, a leading facilities and engineering services provider, is seeking an experienced Building Automation System (BAS) Engineer to support a high-profile commercial property in New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of all building automation systems.
- Manage electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems to ensure peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and perform preventive/corrective maintenance.
- Oversee third-party contractors and specialized system work.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Respond to emergencies and manage work orders from scope through completion.
- Provide technical leadership and support to onsite engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- 4–5+ years of BAS/building systems experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Prior supervisory or shift lead experience preferred.
- Required licenses/certifications per NYC regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
