Software engineer data

Software Engineer, Data, DoorDash, Inc., New York, NY. Build database solutions for various use cases including operational reporting, product analytics, marketing optimization, and financial reporting to serve as the foundation for decision making at DoorDash. Design, develop, and implement large scale, high volume, and high-performance data models, data pipelines, data structures, and data warehouse architecture using expertise with database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive, Druid, Presto, Kafka, Flink). Use Python, Java, or similar languages to develop and implement data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines. Collaborate with engineering, product teams, business partners, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and collect required data. Leverage expertise with ETL orchestration and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Flink, Oozie, Azkaban) and DBMS platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL) to improve the reliability and scalability of our ETL processes. Manage a portfolio of data products to deliver high quality, trustworthy data to meet the requirements of business partners and other stakeholders. Telecommuting Permitted. (SWED-S-202-NY2) 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $153,600 - $230,400/yr. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years of experience in the field of software engineering or program analysis. Qualifying experience must include the following skills (which may be gained concurrently); ETL frameworks; SQL; Data modeling; Orchestration tools like Airflow; Python; Git; Experience with cloud computing resources such as AWS or GCP; Distributed computing technologies like Spark, Presto, Kafka; Reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, or Sigma.
