Box Truck Driver

Are you an experienced driver who’s comfortable behind the wheel of a box truck but tired of the grueling long-haul life? We’re looking for a reliable Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Suffolk County.

You don’t need a CDL for this one a standard NYS Class D License gets you in the driver’s seat. However, we are looking for someone with the "pro" touch who knows how to navigate a box truck safely and efficiently. The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

This isn't just a "sit and drive" job. You’ll be the vital link between our facilities, ensuring our production and warehouse teams have exactly what they need.

• The Route: You’ll be making regular runs between our facilities in Hauppauge (Oser Ave) and Melville (Hub Drive).

What We’re Looking For

• License: Valid NYS Class D (Passenger) Driver License.

• Physicality: Ability to handle a pallet jack and assist with warehouse/production duties.

• Reliability: You’re a "point A to point B" specialist who shows up on time and ready to work.

Responsibilities

• Safe Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a box truck between DPNA facilities in Hauppauge (Oser Ave) and Melville (Hub Drive) while adhering to all NYS traffic laws and safety regulations.

• Pre/Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct daily safety checks of the vehicle, including tires, lights, fluid levels, and brakes, to ensure roadworthiness.

• Load Management: Ensure all cargo is properly secured within the truck to prevent shifting or damage during transit.

• Supplier Pickups: Occasionally travel to local suppliers to collect materials or goods as directed by management.

• Route Efficiency: Maintain a timely schedule for inter-facility transfers to support production timelines.

• Pallet Handling: Use a manual or electric pallet jack to load and unload heavy pallets from the truck and loading docks.

• Verification: Confirm that the goods being moved match the transfer paperwork or manifests for quantity and accuracy.

• Safe Handling: Exercise proper lifting techniques and safety protocols when maneuvering goods in and out of the vehicle.
