E nergy, Infrastructure & Project Finance – Legal Associate (New York)

About the team:

Investec's Global Energy & Infrastructure Project Finance group is a growing, high-performing team working across conventional power, renewable energy, energy transition, midstream oil & gas, digital infrastructure and related sectors in the energy, infrastructure, and project finance space. You will work alongside senior legal counsel embedded directly within the banking team, collaborating with legal and business leaders, credit officers, operations, and senior executives across our global offices in New York, London and Johannesburg.

What will I be doing / My Impact:

As an Energy, Infrastructure & Project Finance Legal Associate, you will provide critical legal support across the full lifecycle of complex energy and infrastructure project financing and project development transactions. Your work will have a direct impact on Investec's ability to lead, structure and execute sophisticated deals.

What do I need to bring?

You're good at:

- 2+ years' experience in project finance, leveraged finance, corporate finance, mezzanine financing, or structured transactions.

- Strong academic credentials and legal training.

- Managing complex multi-party transactions.

- Communicating clearly with stakeholders.

- Working collaboratively with global teams.

- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Education & Licensure Requirements:

- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

- Admission to the New York State Bar.

Salary Range:

$150,000 – $200,000 + annual bonus eligibility.
