Staff Product Manager - Health Risk Detection

We are seeking a Staff Product Manager - Health Risk Detection to lead the discovery and development of novel health sensing capabilities focused on proactive health monitoring and early risk detection. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Science, Design, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to identify, evaluate, and shape sensing technologies that enable early detection or risk stratification of chronic health conditions across key domains such as cardiovascular, metabolic, immune, and respiratory health. You will help define and validate product opportunities that enhance our members’ understanding of their longer-term health trajectory—not just their daily wellness.
This role requires a strong product sense, scientific curiosity, and domain experience in one or more areas of chronic condition detection. You'll inform our research and product roadmaps by aligning user needs, scientific feasibility, and regulatory strategy. You'll partner with cross-functional leads to deliver both wellness-oriented features and features that may eventually require regulatory clearance. A strong understanding of the tradeoffs between wellness and clinical-grade experiences is essential.
What You Will Do
- Lead discovery of new sensing capabilities focused on health monitoring and risk detection across chronic disease domains
- Partner with Science to explore signal quality, biomarker feasibility, and validation pathways for emerging sensing features
- Drive the evaluation of new sensing technologies with a focus on user value, performance, usability, and potential for clinical or wellness applications
- Translate complex health concepts into compelling product experiences that empower users with actionable insights
- Collaborate with Regulatory, Legal, and Quality teams to support FDA submission strategies where applicable
- Inform future hardware requirements based on sensing needs, collaborating with Hardware PMs
- Create clear product narratives and business cases for executive stakeholders to guide investment decisions
- Define and prioritize product requirements from early concept through launch, with an iterative and evidence-driven mindset
This is a remote US role based on the east coast. Openness to flexible hours to support cross-time-zone collaboration with teams in Europe and the U.S.
We Would Love to Have You on Our Team if You Have
- 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in connected health, wearables, or regulated digital health products
- Experience building products that address chronic health conditions or risk factors in areas such as cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, or immune health
- Proven ability to work from early-stage scientific concepts through to customer-facing product delivery
- Familiarity with wellness vs. regulated (FDA-cleared) product strategies; experience with FDA processes is a strong plus
- A deep curiosity about human health and a desire to help people live longer, healthier lives through science-backed tools
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work seamlessly with researchers, clinicians, engineers, and designers

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

- Region 2 $169,000 - $211,000
- Region 3 $159,000 - $199,000
