Duties Description The New York State Senate is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to fill an entry-level position in our Maintenance and Operations Department. Key responsibilities:-Purchase Order Processing-Contacting vendors for pricing and availability-Submission to Senate Purchasing Agent or Procurement Officer for approval-Managing order from placement to delivery-Bid Processing-Gathering specifications from relevant vendors-Assembling documentation outlining Procurement Lobbying Law and Vendor Responsibility-Managing the bid record-keeping and notifications to winning bidder-Subscription and Publications Processing-Maintain subscriptions and publications for all Senate offices-Providing Clerical and Administrative support as needed

Minimum Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess the following:-One year of Microsoft Excel experience-High school diploma or equivalent required-Two years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, but not required
