Requirements: MUST HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

· NYS Special Education Teacher: certified in Students with Disabilities (Birth-2nd grade)

· LMSW/LCSW

· M.S.CCC-SLP

· TSSLD (Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities)

At Believe In Me, LMSWs work in an educational, developmental role supporting toddlers and families through play-based learning and daily routines.✨

This is NOT psychotherapy or counseling — and yes, we provide clinical supervision toward your LCSW hours.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Teaching and supporting toddler development through play-based activities(Mr. Potato Head, puzzles, puppets, pretend kitchen, sensory play, songs, stories,etc )

Modeling and reinforcing daily routines (transitions, mealtime, cleanup, play skills)

Supporting social-emotional growth through structure, consistency, and relationship

Observing developmental progress and planning age-appropriate learning experiences

Coaching caregivers on routines, play strategies, and developmental support

Collaborating with a supportive, mission-driven team

About Our Agency:

Believe In Me is an early intervention agency that provides a variety of services for infants and toddlers with specialized needs, from birth to three years old. It is our mission at Believe In Me to foster a warm, loving, supportive environment for children to learn and grow with the highest quality professionals. Our team is trained to provide effective and efficient therapeutic strategies and techniques using a family-centered approach. We believe in maximizing a child’s potential by teaching them in their natural environment and daily routines in order to generalize important skills. Building a solid foundation of early skills is critical in ensuring success for a lifetime of learning.

Although our central office is located in Bronx, NY we are currently looking for kind, nurturing special education teachers, speech therapists, and licensed social workers (LMSW/LCSW) to work with the infants and young children in all five boroughs of New York City.

Income: Hourly range is 50.00 to 75.00
