POSITION SUMMARY : The CAPP Education & Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing PPNCNY’s mission by providing evidence-based education and fostering strong community relationships. This position is responsible for designing and delivering teen pregnancy prevention education through the CAPP program, and reproductive health education to families, educators, and community stakeholders across the region. This position also engages in strategic outreach, event planning, peer education engagement, and advocacy efforts, with a strong focus on priority populations and underserved communities. This role supports both educational outcomes and access to reproductive health services.

This position is full-time, 40 hours per week with an annual salary range of $41,600 - $45,760

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. Develop, schedule, and deliver age-appropriate, research-based educational programming mainly focused on teen pregnancy prevention, professional youth development, and sexual and reproductive health topics.

2. Responsible for implementing evidence-based pregnancy prevention programs based on CAPP requirements throughout Jefferson County.

3. Provide educational training, and presentations to youth, parents, school staff, human service professionals, and community members.

4. Represent PPNCNY at community events, outreach opportunities, meetings, coalitions, youth groups and more to enhance visibility and build partnerships.

5. Establish and maintain trusted relationships with community stakeholders, including but not limited to school personnel, youth organizations, social service agencies, behavioral health providers, and local businesses.

6. Support and execute community education, peer education and outreach events, independently or in collaboration with local coalitions and partners.

7. Promote education and advocacy campaigns to student groups on college campuses, encouraging youth engagement in reproductive rights and advocacy.

8. Recruit, train, and manage peer educators and volunteers to assist in overall outreach and education efforts.

9. Promote and facilitate access to PPNCNY health services, including support for scheduling appointments and navigating health programs.

10. Maintain clear and accurate records of all educational sessions, outreach events, and meetings, including attendance logs and outcome evaluations.

11. Ensure timely submission of reports and data entry for state, subcontractor, and internal reporting systems, including the St. Lawrence County Health Initiative CAPP program.

12. Attend relevant professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and reproductive health education trends.

13. Collaborate with colleagues in the Community Engagement department to share resources, support advocacy campaigns, and coordinate efforts across the region.

14. Other duties as assigned to support the success of the CAPP program and the broader goals of PPNCNY.

1. Bachelor's degree in public health, education, social work, or a related field preferred. Associate’s degree plus relevant work experience will be considered.

2. Experience in youth education, community outreach, or health promotion are strongly preferred.

3. Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development, reproductive health, and evidence-based programming.

4. Strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills.

5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.

6. Proficiency with data tracking, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

7. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.

8. Able and willing to attend meetings and conferences that require overnight travel.

9. Flexibility in scheduling for working evenings and weekends is mandatory for community events or presentations.
