Early Childhood Teacher
We are seeking a creative and passionate lead teacher for our Early Childhood program. The candidate should have the following attributes:
Have enthusiasm to teach young children
A desire to learn
Ability to create a loving, nurturing and warm environment
A desire to work alongside a great team
Familiarity with planning lessons with support provided
Understanding the basics of motor child development
Ability to develop a child centered classroom where children learn through play and exploration
Responsible for child and classroom assessment activities including recordkeeping,, child observations and portfolio development
Ability to communicate with parents, work collaboratively with colleagues and possess good interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education and in the process of obtaining a Master's degree
Experience working with children under the age of six in an Early Childhood setting
Possess or be on track to obtain one of the following NYS teaching certificates:
Early Childhood (Birth -2)
Common Branch (N-6)
Students with Disabilities
Time
This is a school year school day position
The school day starts at 8 AM and finishes at 3:50 with early dismissal on Fridays.
