Duties Description Analyze and evaluate the administration and implementation of New York State's payroll operation, covering a variety of State governmental entities. Employees review and issue determinations on specific types of payroll matters to ensure compliance and consistency with laws, regulations, labor contract, business rules, policies and procedures, and the like, governing State payroll.

Salary is nonnegotiable. Candidates hired at the trainee level will be advanced to the full performance Payroll Analyst 1 SG-18 following successful completion of the traineeship.
