Position Overview

As a Preflight Pilot , you'll be the final gatekeeper ensuring every digital file is print-ready. Your expertise in preflight and prepress workflows ensures we deliver flawless signage productions on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and process digital artwork for print readiness: check resolution, color profiles (CMYK, Pantone), fonts, bleeds, margins, transparencies, and image integrity.

• Preflight digital files to identify potential errors or production issues - aligning with industry-standard processes that prevent costly delays.

• Coordinate with clients, designers, account managers, and production teams to resolve artwork issues and clarify specifications.

• Prepare press-ready files tailored to signage applications, adhering to in-house workflows.

• Manage file archiving and organization , ensuring production-ready assets are stored systematically.

• Contribute to quality assurance , ensuring all output meets Vista Imaging’s high standards for visual fidelity and durability.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in preflight or prepress roles, ideally within signage, large-format, or print production environments

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Photoshop) and preflight/prepress tools.

• Keen eye for detail , strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with print specifications for large-format signage e.g. DPI, file formats, layout guidelines.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities: clear articulation of technical issues and solution-oriented mindset.

• Educational background : high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or training in graphic arts, prepress, or print technology a plus.
