Job Summary
The Data Entry Specialist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by accurately inputting and maintaining various types of data related to production and other aspects of the manufacturing operation, as well as customer product orders. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Location
This position will be on-site at our location in Endicott, NY.
Job Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Accurately and efficiently enter and update manufacturing/product data into computer systems, databases, spreadsheets, and other relevant software applications.
- Order Entry: Accurately and efficiently input, update, and maintain order and account information. Ensure all required order and product data is available and accurate at time of entry.
- Data Verification: Review and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide customers with updated information regarding their deliveries in an efficient and professional manner.
- Process customer return requests.
- Process requests for POD’s and cert requests.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow established data entry protocols, security measures, and confidentiality guidelines to ensure data integrity and protect sensitive information.
- Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and production schedules.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the identification and implementation of data management best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency in operations.
- Provide administrative support as needed, such as: project support, scanning and filing, logistic/transportation backup, other tasks as needed.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; education or training in data entry or related field is a plus.
- Experience in using computer software, including data entry applications, spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and databases.
- Experience in Salesforce is preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to maintaining data confidentiality and security.
Job Compensation
- Hourly $20 - $24 per hour
