Keville Enterprises, Inc., a growing construction management and inspection firm has an immediate opening for an entry level field inspector that can provide field oversight support for rail and transit projects. Experience with electrical, mechanical and communication engineering is preferred. The inspector will be required to perform inspection services for installation work as required and adhere to safety and quality processes as defined by MTA PMG's and PMP's. Work will be performed at multiple locations around the five boroughs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform daily field inspections of construction activities, including civil, utility, and systems work.
- Observe contractor operations to verify compliance with contract requirements, approved plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed daily inspection reports, photographs, quantity tracking, and construction documentation.
- Monitor materials, equipment, and workmanship for compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with measurement and verification of completed work for payment purposes.
- Report construction progress, deficiencies, delays, and safety concerns to senior inspection staff.
Qualifications:
- Technical Degree or construction-related training preferred
- Experience with rail projects having communications, fire alarm and fire protection
- NYCT Track Training
- OSHA-30 Certification in Construction Safety and Health
- MTA capital construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring work is performed in accordance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and applicable MTA standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and contract documents.
- Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in active transportation environments, including nights, weekends, and track access areas as required.
