Shipping coordinator
If you are a Picking, Packing, Shipping Clerk, with at least 5 years' shipping experience, looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting position for you! Based out of our Long Island (Edgewood, NY) office, you will provide business support by packing and shipping all Flexim products. As a leader in the field of clamp-on ultrasonic flow measurement, Flexim offers the ideal flow meter solutions - even for the most demanding challenges. You will be responsible for communicating with multiple departments throughout the shipping/delivery cycle. Proven ability to function optimally in a fast-paced team environment, while also having the capability to work independently and deliver on time results is essential for this position.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Picking orders from stock, posting in ERP system and staging in Shipping Dept.
- Packing orders in boxes, taping, weighing and marking.
- Shipping orders in ERP system, printing shipping labels, packing slips and other relevant information.
- Communicating with Order Handling on shipping statuses, shipping estimates, tracking issues, etc.
- Maintain work area and keep it clean and orderly (5S).
- Stock boxes and make packing paper.
- Hand boxes over to shipping carrier at end of each day.
- Wrap pallets (when necessary).
Who You Are:
A self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, handle rush orders, prioritize and organize their work.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years minimum work experience in domestic and international shipping
- The ability to lift at least 60lbs
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- International Trade Compliance knowledge
- Experience with FedEx, UPS, DHL software
- Work experience with Oracle / Navision systems
- Detail Oriented
- Team player

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range is $40k - $50k annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
