Position Overview

An established New York-based elder law and estate planning practice is expanding and seeking an experienced Attorney to support continued growth. This opportunity is available in multiple New York markets, including Nassau County, Suffolk County, Westchester/Rockland, and the Mid-Hudson Valley region. The role is designed for an attorney who enjoys building long-term client relationships and helping individuals and families navigate important planning decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations with clients and families
• Develop and implement estate planning strategies
• Draft trusts and related planning documents
• Advise clients regarding asset protection, disability planning, and probate avoidance
• Handle estate administration and probate matters
• Assist clients with Medicaid-related planning
• Maintain a client-centered, educational approach
• Travel between office locations when needed
• Support team initiatives and collaborate across departments

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a J.D. from an accredited law school
• Be actively licensed and in good standing in New York
• Have at least 3 years of experience in elder law, estate planning, estate administration, probate, Medicaid planning, or trust planning
• Demonstrate strong communication and client-service skills
• Be flexible, humble, collaborative, and team-oriented
• Enjoy working closely with older adults and families

Work Environment

This is a full-time, in-office position with required travel between office locations. The practice operates without billable hour requirements and emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and long-term client relationships. Employees enjoy half-day Fridays and a supportive environment focused on delivering quality service to families.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100,000–$150,000 depending on experience
• No billable hour requirements
