Registered nurse care unit contract

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (Contract)

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY

Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours: 36 per week

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intensive care, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill adults in a fast-paced ICU setting.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with evidence-based practices.

• Monitor and manage ventilators, drips, central/arterial lines, and other complex therapies.

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Document all care activities accurately in the electronic medical record.

• Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.

Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN license required.

• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred.

• BLS and ACLS certification required (other critical care certifications a plus).

• Proficiency in electronic charting systems (Epic preferred).

• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled.
