Schedule: Monday–Friday

Hours: Flexible schedule; household needs generally fall between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

Compensation: $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience

A private family in Scarsdale, NY is seeking a reliable, proactive, and highly independent Family Assistant / Private Chauffeur to support the family with driving, errands, children’s school communication, activity transportation, and household coordination.

Main Work Duties:

• Provide safe, reliable transportation for the family.
• Drive into New York City in the morning for work drop-off.
• Drive into New York City again for evening pickup, approximately around 6:00 PM.
• Transport children to and from school, activities, appointments, and other commitments.
• Communicate with the children’s schools as needed.
• Run errands during the day, including pickups, deliveries, shopping, returns, and household-related tasks.
• Be present at the home when vendors, service providers, or maintenance workers arrive.
• Coordinate access for vendors and communicate updates to the family.
• Help manage daily household logistics and keep the family’s schedule running smoothly.
• Remain flexible and professional with schedule changes, traffic delays, and last-minute needs.
• Maintain a calm, discreet, and service-oriented presence.

Required Qualities:

• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Excellent driving skills and a strong focus on safety.
• Comfortable driving in Westchester and New York City.
• Able to work independently without needing hand-holding.
• Proactive and able to anticipate the family’s needs.
• Organized, calm, and strong at managing logistics.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with schools, vendors, and service providers.
• Child-friendly and comfortable supporting a family with school-aged children.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of family privacy.
• Comfortable around a small dog.
• Flexible and willing to help where needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ solid years of family assistant/driver experience working in a private home.
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
