Global Forwarding Coordinator

Our client is a leading global logistics and supply chain management provider, specializing in freight forwarding and international transportation services across air, ocean, and ground networks. On their behalf, we are seeking a conscientious and detail-oriented Global Forwarding Coordinator to support their global forwarding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. The Global Forwarding Coordinator collaborates with and supports global forwarding personnel by managing customer shipment details and ensuring exceptional service from purchase order through final delivery. The Global Forwarding Coordinator is responsible for supporting the international shipping process and maintaining accurate customer records and documentation. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Understand the processes involved in international shipping, from purchase order to delivery of cargo at the ultimate destination.
- Assist global forwarding personnel and third parties with inquiries and problem resolution.
- Generate, file, and maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records, reports, and shipment documentation.
- Provide tracking and tracing services for customer shipments.
- Provide support and backup for deliveries and turnovers.
- Perform load audits.
- Provide reporting and documentation collection support to global forwarding personnel while ensuring customer data integrity.
- Ensure adherence to customer SOPs, government agency regulations, and company standards.
- Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned, according to team and/or country-specific requirements.
- Monday through Friday, with shift options of 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.
- Hybrid schedule requiring a minimum of two days in office per week (Wednesday and Thursday).
- Beginning in September, in-office days will increase to three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional, service-first approach.
- Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage duties in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, third parties, and customers.
- Prior experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, customer SOPs, and government agency regulations.
- Experience performing load audits and providing tracking and tracing services.
