Oneida Health is a community hospital in the process of rebuilding its anesthesia team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a new team that cares for a local community. There are 8,000 cases annually consisting of Endo, General, Ortho, ENT, L&D, and other specialties.

Case Assignments

Main OR cases include general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endo, and OB. OB experience is required.

Shifts

• Monday-Thursday, 7am to 5pm daytime position at 40 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
• No call, no weekends, no holidays

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Qualifications

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
