Position: Server

Job Description:

Attentive and present, yet never intrusive, they create welcoming, engaging experiences and consistently look for opportunities to enhance the food and beverage experience.

Required Skills and Requisites:

  • Consistently provide thoughtful, attentive, and personalized service to guests with the goal of building rapport and creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Ensure all F&B outlets are properly set, stocked, and ready for service prior to opening.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and restocking of all service areas, counters, floors, and equipment throughout service.
  • Properly break down, clean, and reset service areas at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of food and beverage menus and confidently articulate offerings to guests.
  • Accurately and efficiently operate the POS system for order entry and payment processing.
  • Execute the full cycle of service, from greeting and order taking to preparation, delivery, and payment, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with restaurant standards and quality expectations.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of all beverage offerings, including coffee, tea, non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer, and spirits.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar to ensure proper stock levels and alert leadership when items are running low.
  • Observe guests throughout service to anticipate needs, respond to requests, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Clear, reset, and maintain tables and service stations efficiently.
  • Complete all assigned side work and opening/closing duties.
  • Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines, including understanding MSDS requirements.
  • Assist with setup, service, and breakdown of banquet functions or special events as needed.
  • Attend required department meetings and complete additional projects as assigned by management.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a guest-first mindset; able to handle requests professionally and positively.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to balance individual responsibilities and team collaboration.
  • Dependable and punctual; consistently reports to work on time and follows scheduling expectations.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to stand 8+hours or more
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, at times noisy environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Proactive problem solver with the ability to take initiative and communicate clearly with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic for billing, totals, and change.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50–100 pounds occasionally, including carrying trays and supplies.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
