A well known global luxury skincare CPG and retail company, hybrid role (3 days/ week in office), luxurious office based in Mid-town, New York City.

Job Description

The Legal Counsel responsibilities include:

• Provide legal counsel on a variety of matters, including contracts, compliance, and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to align with company policies and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, particularly within the CPG/ retail sector.
• Advise internal teams on legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel when required to manage complex legal issues.
• Support dispute resolution and litigation processes as needed.
• Stay updated on legal trends and changes relevant to the CPG/ retail industry.
• Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal best practices.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Legal Counsel should have demonstrable skills:

• Admitted to a US State Bar, ideally New York State Bar.
• Juris Doctor or LLM.
• A strong background in legal practices, preferably within the CPG or retail industry.
• Experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and review.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations applicable to the CPG/ retail sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various teams.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, actionable advice.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently in a busy environment.
