OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Staten Island, NY by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Dispatch nationwide dry van freight from Staten Island, NY, operating modern tractors with sleepers, APUs and inverters. Drivers typically log around 2,500 miles per week on steady OTR lanes and receive consistent support from dispatch and maintenance.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely operate company dry van equipment, keep precise logs and conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections.
• Properly secure freight, comply with DOT and company safety standards, and maintain strong inspection records.
• Engage with in-house maintenance for timely service and repairs.

Requirements & highlights:

• CDL-A and at least 12 months OTR experience required. Pay starts at 65 CPM with safety/inspection/referral bonuses, home every two weeks (biweekly), and full benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k).
