Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician's Assistant) Internal Medicine
Description
This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking to make a significant impact in a dynamic medical practice environment.
In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients, working collaboratively with our dedicated team of healthcare providers. Your expertise will be crucial in managing patient health, conducting examinations, and developing treatment plans that enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Participate in patient care coordination and follow-up
- Stay updated on medical best practices and internal medicine advancements
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license
- Associate degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in internal medicine or a related specialty
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Patient Population: Ages 18+, specializing in geriatric care
Duties: Routine physical exams and health screenings, sick visits, treatment and management of chronic conditions, same-day appointments, immunizations, and medication prescriptions and refills
Must be board-certified
