Duties Description The Internal Communications Intern will assist the team with a variety of tasks, including:- Draft and edit internal communications materials, such as newsletter articles, intranetstories, and announcements.- Support the management and maintenance of internal communication platforms, includingthe intranet, digital signage, and email distribution lists.- Aid in the planning, logistics, and communication efforts for Agency-wide events, such asall-staff virtual gatherings and information sessions, employee recognition programs, andestablished annual initiatives.- Work with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensure consistent messaging, andsupport specific Agency initiatives.- Track and analyze communication metrics (e.g., email open rates, intranet engagement)- Help create visual or multimedia content to support internal campaigns
Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Be a United States citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United StatesBe 18 years of age or olderBe actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State*Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree programHave a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalentPreferred Qualifications:- Have basic understanding of Canva and InDesignPreferred Degree Concentrations/Major: - Communications Studies - Liberal Arts
