Express Employment Professionals is hiring for a reputable sheet metal company in Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a skilled Senior Forklift Operator (Sit Down or Stand Up) to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. If you are an experienced forklift operator with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate sit-down or stand up forklifts to move, stack, and load sheet metal products and materials within the warehouse.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking and recording the movement of goods.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to fulfill orders and maintain optimal workflow.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting as needed.
- Train and mentor junior forklift operators, promoting best practices in forklift operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Wide load experience preferred.
- Valid forklift operator certification (must be current and valid).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
