Job Title: RN – Pediatrics

• 11.5 Hours/Day

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatrics/Med-Surg Rehab opportunity in a large acute care hospital setting. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside nursing care to pediatric and rehabilitation patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately
• Perform wound care, infection control procedures, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
• Monitor patient vital signs and report adverse reactions promptly
• Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as required
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and post-operative care
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, medical records, and charts
• Adhere to established nursing standards, policies, and protocols

Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required
• Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification required
• AHA BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in a large acute care hospital required
• Most recent experience must be within the last year required
