Join the opening team at Ondîne , the newest project from Chef John Fraser. Years after an earlier chapter in this same West Village dining room, he returns with an intimate 35-seat French-inspired bistro guided by an ethos rooted in immediacy, thoughtful sourcing, and nostalgia. The cooking is pared back and made in real time—herbs cut to order, sauces finished à la minute, and exceptional ingredients sourced both near and far. A focused wine list curated by Amy Racine, a limited cocktail program, and a dynamic daily offering complete the experience. It's small, but mighty.

We are seeking passionate Line Cooks to join our opening kitchen team. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, technique-driven environment where precision, teamwork, and craftsmanship are valued every day. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, take pride in their work, and are excited to help bring Chef John Fraser's vision to life.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Michelin-starred or comparable fine dining restaurant preferred.
• Strong knife skills and a solid foundation in classic cooking techniques.
• A passion for exceptional ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items with consistency and precision.
• Maintain exceptional food quality while following recipes and culinary standards.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Keep your station organized, clean, and service-ready.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Support the opening team in building a kitchen culture rooted in professionalism, respect, and continuous improvement.
